long waiting(2-4 hours)sneaky and dishonest workers. now this hap hazard place is giving debit cards to donors to make their simple job easier. Debit cards actually take up more of your time and money, up to $4 to $12 every donation. not to mention arrogant worker exchanges from other countries that can barely understand or speak proper English when dealing with matter of peoples Health. If they know ya and your not their camaraderie you will be skipped intentionally

There is little good to say about the donor center on 16th and National. There is no supervision on the people that work there. I've been treated rudely on many occasions. I tried to file a complaint to a so called shift supervisor and was lied to and even treated with disdain, like I was a \_whistle blower\_ and if you don't like it don't come attitude. This place is ran way worse than any welfare establishment. Which is fine (i guesse, then get some security) but its not a government building... it a fricken business that profits and contributes jobs, saves lifes, Not a hand out... which is how they treat their DONORS. Pretty pathetic place. I will say some workers are more helpful than others, but as a whole, this Donor Center need to be truthfully examined. Oh yeah,,, not to mention the long hours of waiting as you stand. 75 donor chairs only 8 seats in their tiny waiting room. This place is what I would call a looser.

The first time I tried to donate the need for proof of address wasn't clear. But that was the fault of the company not the people at this location. I went back and it took some time before I could donate because they had to make sure it was safe. After the first time I now donate regularly with a minimum of hassle.

I am coming back there since I last donated in 1989! (I've been outta of Wisconsin for many years!) I feel safer in that neighborhood because I use to live there. I would not donate in a area where I will get robbed! The ones on the North side of Milwaukee (North Ave.) are very bad! I know many people been robbed there! No matter what race and color you are! So I will donate on 16th _ National! My 2 cents!

after calling to get the information on the policies as my husband and i have never been to donate for money before. we awoke at 4:30am, drove 1 hr.(when we called on the way to get more specific directions the woman kept telling us the hours of operation-and we could_nt understand her), sat for 2 1/2 hours and after giving giving id, having finger stick, vitals, urine, and medical questions asked i was informed that due to a medication i take for a chronic condition i am not eligible and am now listed in the computer as deferred so i can't go elsewhere either. My husband was deferred due to bypass surgery he had in 2005,so he also can go nowhere else. I told the nurse that these conditions they have should be disclosed before wasting all this time, she told me that they have to go through the questions and discuss it with us. what did they discuss? just a big fat no i am not eligible. wonder if they'd pay my gas/mileage. would NEVER recommend them to anyone!!! most of the \_regulars\_ that give weekly are the lowest form of people i've seen in a long time and noone can tell me that the majority of them aren't high risk as well as drug users, of course just my opinion. i guess thats what we get for being upstanding, safe, honest human beings. funny how american red cross has no problem taking my donations after i disclosed the same information and i'd tend to have more faith in their screening and safety procedures.

Even over the phone, they're incompetent. I asked about compensation. She instead decided to tell me what I needed to bring with me, then she hung up on me! I don't know what I was thinking, but in the pursuit of knowledge, I called back and a different guy answered who said you get $35 first donation, $40 second, and \_like $25\_ after that. It varies by weight, so how much would I get at 160lbs? \_Like, $25\_. I've never talked to more difficult people. I wouldn't go here if there are ANY other choices available.
