i want to say that i went there donated blood and they are unskilled and their techniques are not ethnical..i went to medical school.i was nevered taught to smack the vein unil the vein in the are collaspes or after you place an tourniquet on arm to raise the vein to placed needle into vein ,your suppose to release it off the arm or by with drawling blood can cause damage to the arm or blood clots to form..even collasped vein and needs emergency attention!!Need some certified Lab Tech in there !!A patron is going to get seriously injuried for the unskilled and unlicensed employees there and need to be reported to the Board of Medical association and Board Of Nursing _Have their facility investigated to the fulless!

I had never given blood ever. I found that for a place that's in the city, they're super clean and they have really nice, friendly staff. I was treated with care and respect and all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I felt like I'd done something good and I got $25 on top of that!

I use to work for MB in early 2000. According to these comments, I see nothing has change. This establishment is run by some wild people to say the least, but they are safe and clean. I actually liked Jo... and her rudeness, but Ter.. on the other hand was fake and those are the type of people to watch. If Mr. B is still there, beware he is not a doctor. :-) I miss my donors, because they made me feel appreciated on a daily basis.

I have been going to this center for years , never really had a problem with the staff, most peopel are alway busy or something , considering that these ladies are dealing with strangers from the street I think they do a very good job at what they do, they just recently raise the compensation up to 35 dollars , they say it only a tempoary thing so enjoy it while it last , I go there when I have the time ,Sometimes I just don't like being stuck in the arm but I manner get by .

i have never donated blood at this facility but i know a few people that have. they told me that the staff is rude and that there supposed to close at 3 and close hours before then. after reading the comments from other blood donors it seems that the rumors i heard are true. i dont understand how the state allows people like that to run these kind of facilities!!!!

Never donated blood before for $. But they were great! I called and they told me what I needed to bring. 20 bucks, cool. Make sure you bring Drivers license, SS card, proof of address. If you do that they'll treat you well. If not you don't deserve to complain when they turn you down.

Their workers are really busy with the large crowd of people that they seem to alwyas have being as though there aren;t many paid donation sites in Maryland. I found them to be straight forward and to the point they answer your questions get you in and get you out. What more do you want?

I attempted to donate blood yesterday and was told that I cannot donate because I live in a homeless shelter. When I told the tech that was descrimination she shrugged at me. Do you know how that made me feel? I was the cleanest person there! Typical stereotype: all homeless people are on drugs, an alcoholic, dirty, or have HIV, right? Wrong. I'm at the shelter under protective order because of my ex husband. It's not my fault, and it's none of your business! I needed that money to use to get to work, now what am I going to do?

(My visit was on Friday August 7, 2009 at approx. 12:30p). Overall my experience was pleasant with the exception of one woman, Ms. Joyce Trembly. Ms. Trembly was not only rude to me and several coworkers, I actually heard her physically threaten a woman worker. When I asked her for a number that I could use to report her for her unprofessional misconduct, she became very upset and stormed away while continuing to yell at me over her shoulder. I cannot believe that someone would hire this woman and continue to pay her for verbally abusing workers as well as clients.

(sorry for the double-post) So I go in at 4 my first visit, they tell me they stop accepting patients at 3 and are closed for the weekend. Cool. So I make it in by 2:30 on monday, they tell me they stop accepting patients at 2. The next day I go at 1:15, and the lady says she's closed already and gets a real attitude with me when I ask her to definitively say when they're closed. Every visit the staff have been downright mean. I realize I can't get there until later in their hours, but I'm a student with morning classes and there's no need to be that rude to someone who's trying real hard to be polite.
