My wife and I are fairly new donors and decided that today would be our last time attempting to donate plasma ever. I_ve never felt so disrespected and stereotyped in my life! The staff that are in more formal positions talk down on you and treat you very bad! I swear every time I go there I am made to feel like I shouldn_t donate cause I could use the money. The comments made by some of these staffers are very insulting and unprofessional! I do not recommend donating here to anyone. They false advertise, don_t honor bonuses and under compensate you for your donations a lot! They need to be shut down! It_s not a very professional business!

Good way to earn extra money. Place is clean and all the equipment is one-time-use, employees are trained well and friendly. Recommend.

Great place to donate. The staff are professional and friendly and it_s a great way to earn some extra money. You can also earn extra money by bringing a friend- $50.

I love this place. The employees are cool and I have never had a problem with them missing my veins. They keep the place clean ond organized and are way more professional than the place on Mich St. I have been going there for a year and a half. It_s a good way to make extra money. The first time you go it does take a while b/c you have to get a physical by one of the nurses.

Staff is professional and the place is clean. They are very strict and run a tight ship though so be sure to act appropriately.

I have read the comments and felt the need to put in my two cents. My 16 year old son is ALIVE because of people who donate plasma. My fiance donates twice a week at the South Bend biomat and the staff there are amazing, caring, and capable people! The plasma goes through so much testing, there is absolutely no way for my son to get \_bad plasma\_ when he gets IVIG therapy every 4 weeks! October 1, 2010 he was diagnosed with T-Cell Philadelphia + Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, since then, he has needed blood and platelets numerous times in order to survive. I just want to say, Thank God for all donors and staff!! You make life possible for my son!!

It makes me mad that some of you are leaving nasty comments about the people that donate. They test the plasma to make sure there is no disease. It doesn_t matter how \_clean\_ or polite the people are, nor whether or not they use drugs, only that their plasma is disease-free. Stop being so ignorant.

I have just recently starting donating in the past 2 months. I had heard all the stereotypes about the drug addicts and dirty people coming to donate. BUT ITS FALSE-GRANTED YOU HAVE ALL WALKS OF LIFE. I need freakin gas money and so do other people. And for those people who are seeking money for drugs-I would rather it be in a legit way than robbing and prostituting. People who are not educated on Plasma donation-you are drug tested and given a full physical-which you get paid. Do you really think the trade off would be better? Donating your plasma for a good cause or robbing the innoncent for a drug addicition. Before you judge other people u should walk a mile in their shoes-Dirty or not. See it how you want, but plasma donation from the straight and addictied is saving lives.

I have donated plasma on and off for 3-4 years and I have seen a big improvement over the past 6-12 months. The employees are much friendlier and willing to help than in the past. I can truely say I have not had a bad experience there. The office staff are available (most of the time) if you have questions or complaints too. I will continue to donate there because I know the staff is experienced at sticking. Not so sure about a \_new\_ place. Dont want my arms getting messed up.

I changed my mind about donating after reading all the comments...I don_t need the aggro. The employees_ phone manners aren_t any better. They_re snotty and give very curt answers to your questions. If they_re that short on help...HIRE PEOPLE! I_m sure they_d get an overwhelming response.

I used to work here at Biomat USA and I must tell you it was the worse experience ever. I only made 8.00 an hour, then I got a .25 cent raise. Then they said that I was doing my job because of the previous evaluation. If they paid there employees alot better we would actually do our job. We have a brand new plasma center opening....IBR Plasma Center! It will be located where the old Penny Saver_s building is. Opening April 7th, 2009...we are knowledgeable and we are happy to service you!!! See you April 7th 2009!!!

I made a few visits there and im a nurse so I was trying to economize and use the money for carpayment. The wait was very long. And the attitude was no matter what service they do .. they will always have customers because people are in desperate times and do desperate things to survive. Workers remember you are only a paycheck away from giving blood to get money. Try to put yourself in their position. Embarrassed ashamed having to stoop so low to give blood and then to have to wait so long. We goof around at work to but our work is done nobody is waiting for anything because customer comes first. When your on the clock be on the clock. I was going to apply for a nursing job there to help move it along but many a nurses must come and go which tells me its a bad job low pay and high turnover .. so management is bad... nurses wont stay. Have a heart it could be you giving blood to get eggs for dinner.

I have been there twice in one week and i have seen nasty dirty people walking in the blood bank to get money for blood. It had made me sick to think that these people coming in are unclean and very disrespectful in manners towards other people waiting and the people working there. It goes to show that very unfit people are selling their blood to other men and women who doesn_t know where their blood is coming from when they need it the most. I pray to GOD that I will ever need blood, I don_t get it from there!!!

I have seen your advertisements for \_Donors Wanted\_ for several months now. I decided to try this since I am a current blood donor to the Red Cross. When I arrived at your facility, there were an estimated 65 to 70 people in your waiting room. Being new, I did not know your procedures. I stood at the window area for approx. 10 minutes without so much as even an acknowledgement from any of your employees. Obviously you have more donors than you can possibly handle so I would suggest you stop running your ads until you can get a handle on your situation. I did notice a sign that said once you have signed in, you may not leave the premises. I do not have 3/4 hours to sit in your waiting room to possibly get in to donate. If at such a time you change your policies and begin to schedule appointments, feel free to contact me. Until such a time, I will not be returning to waste my time.

I was shocked at the seemingly disregard for donors time. They take no appts. and the gal explianed why, however peoples lives do not revolve around sitting in their waiting room to donate. I believe the walk-in policy is great, but like salons and barber shops why not combine the mix so that peple can plan? The demographics lend themselves to folks who are unfortunetly at the lower end of the economics scale which left me feeling dirty. I am sorry for the folks who work there, they are put in this postion and bide by managemnts guidlines. I think it is horrible to ask someone to sit and wait 3-4 hours to either become a first time donor or to return to donate and they should be ashamed of themselves. I just wanted to help people, and life is a busy place....I don_t have 4 hours to spend in your waiting room.

Pays around 50 week. Ok but is very slow need more help to get things moving faster. There are plenty of chairs that are never full, and plenty of people in waiting room. Need more help, hire more people i know they can afford it! Paying for returning users per week. $15.00 first visit of week, second is $40.00. New people get more on the first 4 visits. BOTTOM LINE NEEDS MORE HELP UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT 2 HOURS TO START DONATING. And then watching the employes laughing and joking around not in any hurry to speed things up. NEEDS MORE HELP NO ONE WANTS TO DONATE WITH TIMES LIKE THESE! SPEED THINGS UP YOU WILL MAKE MORE IN THE LONG RUN! LOSING RETURNING CUSTERMS IS A NO NO IN BUISNESS!
