For everybody ragging on people for donating plasma to get some money, you all need to rethink what you_re saying. I got out of the army 3 weeks ago because I was injured and I haven_t been able to find work yet. As for the homeless people that donate, you should thank them because they_re doing something to help their fellow man even though its probably going to end up helping one of you judgemental nitwits.

I have never been to Bio Met but i have been to Telecris. I was there 3 times within a week and got deferred. The first time they could not find my chart, the second they could not use my proof of address cause it was too old and the second they were so busy they didnt get to me. I plan to keep trying though. I know they are busy and have a huge client base. This will be how I make ends meet since i got laid off 3 weeks ago. No this stuff is not for just for homeless and yes they are there along with people who have been unfortunate enough to survive in this cruel world without the help of centers like this one unlike YOU (the ones judging everyone else)I think what they are doing is amazing and they are not only helping medical research but also helping their community. So go back to your obviously rich life and leave the struggling lower or middle class the hell alone! NUFF SAID!

I donated for the first time yesterday. I was there for over 5 hours, I thought there method for prossesing new people lacked organization. I am a white woman and I went there alone, trust me ladies if your a white girl best to go during the day or at the least bring a friend along. The parking leaves very little to desire as well. The staff on the other hand I felt was very nice and friendly. Although when I was done donating some girl from an office near by had to unhook me, after she noticed I had been done for a wile and was not being unhooked.

First off, all of you people who are judging people for giving plasma either one have gone in yourself to donate? or are assuming things you have no idea about, and why you_d take the time to comment something rude on here shows your ignorance and self worth. When people donate plasma, it helps researches find new medicines and discover breakthroughs. Experimentation is so important. So what if a crackhead gets money to donate plasma. I_m not a crackhead and I_m going through college and that little amount of money helps with expenses. So please before you start judging people make sure your hands are clean.

Almost everyone that I know who goes there is jobless and homeless and considers this a profession. They're mostly living off the society around them - for FREE. Ain't freedom grand? You can make someone else pay for your life! This pays for a couple nice meals a week (they eat better than me) and suppliments their marijuana [and worse] habits. They should start drug screening.

Place was busy. Lots of different folks there, all races, professions, ages. All were NOT junkies as someone stated. These folks are making ends meet and save lives. I expect it to be busier as the year progresses, as more folks are out of work.

the place is newer but all you see in there are a bunch of crack heads like anyone in there right mind would wait 3 to 5 hrs for $25 bucks do the math it does add up 5 dollars an hour oh boy especially since they make about 300 per bottle yeah I know they have yo pay for employees and its there facility but they could easily pay out at least 50 bucks a donation.
