ALWAYS understaffed. Intake personnel are curt and display no interest in the customer or customer experience. The philosophy demonstrated is _Sit down. Shut up. Don_t move._ S.O.P. needlessly causes the customer visit to be longer than needed. On the positive side - the workers who do the actual work of drawing your blood are genial and competent, and the place is clean.

Nothing changed about this center. Checked its Linkedin online. BBC is a hospital and health care with a clean surrounding. Easy to locate due to its big outdoor signage. Address and phone number are still the same. Hours of Operation (HoO): 7 AM to 6 PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays _ Thursdays 7 AM to 4 PM Fridays, Saturdays _ Sundays

I have not had a bad experience with donating. Staff is very kind. I have been deferred a couple times because of my low blood pressure and or high pulse. They were great about telling me why I was being deferred. unfortunately Im unable to donate plasma due a tattoo discrepancy.. I've had it 3 years, not my fault it was NOT noted at the time of my first physical..

It is very hard for me to not laugh at the majority of the comments posted here. Just so everyone knows cuz is not a word. If you can not even spell because they should turn you away on pure stupidity. I understand the majority of people that donate here do it for income versus serving a better cause. Which honestly is a good thing considering most of the plasma is used for research ( which is where the money is ) instead of _saving lives_. But we should understand that we are selling bodily fluids. They have to met a certain criteria in order to be purchased. The employees there are not biased or mean, they just do their jobs. It is unfortunate and seemingly pointless they require you to have a stable address, but I assume its a safety precaution to ensure identity and reduce the risks of drug addict applicants. That said I have both had great and frustrating experiences here. The staff is very friendly for the most part. I don_t believe blaring 104.5 is conducive to a professional environment. It is just plain tacky. Nor is hearing girls about to stab me with a needle talking about what they are having for lunch or what ever mundane thing running through their minds as they bruise me so I cant come back for two weeks while it heals. They are all very polite and sweet though and it has only happened once in 2 years of random donation. Also she no longer works there. I suppose my biggest complaint is that its freezing in the waiting room. I have to wear extra sweaters in order to stay warm enough to pass the temperature check even though I was warm enough before I entered. Regardless of everything a fore mentioned, it is an easy way to make extra money. Most of the time I am in and out in under an hour. The trick is to go in early before the irresponsible _ lawsuit_ people get out of bed.

I have not had a bad experience with donating. Staff is very kind, they make you feel comfortable, they are friendly. I have been deferred a couple times because of my iron being too low. They were great about telling me why I was being deferred. As for the.comments about BBC smelling, they don_t. They are very sterile. They respect their clients privacy. I will continue to donate plasma through BBC

Everyone that you would come in contact with to donate are great caring people. They really make you feel like coming back to save another life. I wish I could get one of their t-shirts. I would wear it all the time. It feels good knowing that your plasma saves lives and you get paid to save a life too. WOW! Thanks for caring to save lives.

I have been donating here for a long while now. Great expierences, all of the staff is very knowledgable and helpful. the BAD. A long time manager walks around the center like we owe her something and is rude and judgmental, and this male supervisor? of the donation area reprimanding employees infront of everyone its a great place. Few flaws but friendly and quick reacting lower level employees.

staff was very friendly, unfortunately was unable to donate plasma due to my veins being very small, i recommend if you do go there that you drink plenty of fluids the day before. like 2 gallons of water and eat a good breakfast and drink water before going in the day of. alot of the women working there were not hard on the eyes as well if you catch my drift ;)

I have been donating at Bio for at least 8 to ten years now and i would have to say the women and men of Bio do a fairly decent job of treating everbody equally. The office staff are easy to talk to and the guys on the floor and in the boothes do their best to get everybody in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you_re donating to help save lives then you deal with whatever crowd may be there on any givin day, go through the process and even get a bonus prize at the end, a bit of cash to put in your pocket, i dont think that_s a bad deal for a couple hours tops out of your day.If you are not a current donor you should stop in and give them a try if you dont like them you dont have to go back but if you do and im sure you will maybe you_ll leave with a few new friends, \_what_ve you got to lose?\_

This is a great place to donate, never had any real problems, too many people on here whining because THEY did something wrong or were unable to donate. but the fact is this is a professional place and the people are very friendly I_ve been donating here since 2007 and have had very few issues, the staff that did cause issue no longer work there.

I have to commend the staff that works at this facility for putting up with half of the low-lifes in muskegon. First off my own experience was great, i was treated with respect and the facility was in great condition. The staff was friendly and open to any questions i had. On the other hand the majority of the people trying to donate were extremely rude or in many ways non-respectable. I can only guess that most of the negative comments posted on this page were from people turned down for a good reason. Muskegon has way too many drug addicts, crack heads, and plain ignorant people that think they deserve equal treatment like everyone else. If i can smell you from 10 feet away or your missing all your teeth...i wouldnt want your blood either. Get a clue and stop bashing a facility that does its best to help those trully in need throughout muskegon.

I hate needles to begin with. was down on my luck about a year ago. I got up at 6:30 in the morning and went to see if I could make 20 bucks or so. there were only two other people before me. I was turned away because they said that they had all the people for thst day. so I imagine that they weren_t going to do anything else that day. I felt degraded and talked down to these lazy no good people need to be fired for lack of compassion.

First I will be honest with you as I was with them. I very recently moved back to Muskegon for Louisiana. And in the process of the transition of me and my wife securing our old apartment touched down in the Mens resue mission for 3 days. So, went to donate and was refused because in my honesty I told them that I was residing at the mission for a couple days while we ( my wife and I ) got housing details in order. NOTE * THANK YOU and GOD BLESS THE MENS RESCUE MISSION for there friendly, caring atmosphere and enviornment *. Anyway was denied because \_ the place is dirty and full of pathogens \_ I laughed. The FIRST thing out my mouth was \_ Pfft I shoulda lied, woulda been easy. \_ Her response, \_ No sir, It_s never good to lie \_.... Hmmmm... Is it then \_ Good to Judge, or make False accuasations about a Facility that in MY OPINION the woman has never stepped foot in ?? The FACT of the matter is the men at the mission clean the mission, and do not like to live in filth or nastiness either..... I really wanted to tell her to come down and take a look. But honestly the men there don_t need the negativity I FELT radiating of this woman, and deserve better. I am now required to bring a dated Utility bill, Bank statement, Credit card bill Etc...... stating the new address before they will allow me to donate my \_contagious pathogenic\_ Plasma. It_s a SHAME, as I am in Perfect health coulda used the money to alleviate some bill stress. And according to their Mission Statement done a positive thing for some one in need of Healthy, Drug Free Life Saving Plasma. SHAME on you Bio-Blood. \_ Bad Form\_........... NOTE * IN order to reduce SPAM, ALL postings will be reviewed * I am NOT SPAM.... LOL have a GOD BLESSED day...... _3

these people make you sit and wait there for 4 hours and come up with some stupid reason to turn you away.. First time when i went there, they asked me to write my name on the sheet and wait, after 2 hours they call all the new donors including me and tell us that they ran out of applications so we have to come in some other day, which is lame.. And they turned away my wife cos she was in process of changing name and her driver_s license showed the old name but we did have a receipt from the Secretary of state stating that she changed her last name. Once we got that done and got the new drivers license they turned her away saying that they couldn_t find any veins, they really dint check or try to find one.. this place is horrible and the staffs are very lazy, they treat you like crap because ur there to get their money.. Try not to go there, find some other center close to that area..

I_ve donated at other clinics in other states before, and this clinic is pretty good compared to them. My first donation took a while, 3 hours in the door to leaving. They ask you a range of questions, perform a physical, and then if you pass, you can donate. At this time, the highest weight class gets $25, $30 for their visits. All in all, the staff has been pretty friendly.

I was recently told I can never donate again because the lady who used to be the nurse there screwed up when charting my ear piercings a few years back. it had been 3 years since my last donation and now because of her, I am banned for life. The center also lied to me and told me there was no website or any way to contact anyone of higher power. This is rediculous.

I went into there, and they had me fill out the forms, do the quiz, pee in the cup, check my veins, etc etc., and they said that i couldn_t donate because i had a \_funky smell\_... which is a bunch of crap, because i was clean. i did a LOT of precaution that day. lol. and they said the cuts on my arms from five years ago meant i was permanently banned from their plasma center. to be honest, i smelt some people there.. (not intentionally), and they stunk horribly!! it was disgusting. i could not believe that they were discriminating against me. or at least, that_s how i felt. my boyfriend couldn_t donate, because they said that his \_veins weren_t big enough\_ but they never even looked. they asked if he was there before, and he said yes, but they couldn_t find a vein. then they said \_well, if you don_t have veins, then you don_t have veins.\_ in my honest opinion, i think they were making up excuses to NOT pay someone $40 dollars or whatever. i was really upset by their ways of treating someone.

Sat. was my first visit which took about 2 1/2 hours which I was told it would take up to 4 hours because of the physical.Everyone that I talked to were friendly, peoplle need to realize that they are buisy and have a number of people go through there each day, they may not have time to just sit and chit chat with you. 3 hours a week to get paid to do a great thing for others is an awsome thing, I will be going twice a week every week! I just pray that if me or anyone in my family is ever in need, there will be people willing to donate their time.

When I called, they said they pay $30 and $35, for the first two visits, and after that it depends on weight, for example if you weigh between 150 and 174 they pay $25 for the first visit each week and $30 for the second. They only do walk-ins, no appointments :-( I haven_t been there.

As the only real option in Muskegon for selling plasma i guess you take what you can get for the money. The personnel are a bit improfessional and make the experience more uncomfortable by their attitudes than seems necessary. On the whole, most, especially the senior employee_s are unfriendly. But like i said, if you need the cash, you put up with it.
