Each time you donate blood, you give a very generous gift that will make a difference for as many as three people. It’s a feeling that money can’t buy.

Bionat is awesome! Rachel is the best person on the planet. She was so polite, educated, and helpful. The rest of the staff are good as well, she was just exceptionally great, and did I mention: they pay for your donation!

Agreed. I donated the first time with Biomat a week ago. I_ve been donating with a different Center for a few years. I_m a Registered Nursed who contributes to Health and Wellness and Medical research so I try to do what I can. Yes to be paid a little compensation is nice. On my first vist I waited 5 hours during the new donor prosess. I_m 100% healthy and within normal guidlines. Once I finally donated the Phlebotomist dug around in my arm for about a minute. Once she gave up she called another tro try who origional said She couldn_t start it since she 2was the one who set me up. She eventually did anyway. MY other arm was bruised after that. I returned the next week and was turned away due to the bruising. I waited only 2 hours that day past my appointment time. As I mentioned above I_m an RN and my employer inquierd about the bruising in the AC are of each arm and needed a statement form a physician who started the I.V. or drew Blood. Biomat couldn_t produce any such documentation. If you have the time and don_t mind looking kike an I.V. ellicit drug abuser you may have luck. Just be awre this is a potential risk of donating with them. I_ve taught many I.V. Therapy students and phlbotomist during my career as an RN and Paramedic. I hav healthy veins like cables that, (Don_t Roll) if done correctly. That will be the first excuse they give you for a blown vein or miss stick. Any doubts feel free to look up my credincialing on the New Mexico St. Board web site or Arizona State Board. I_ve transfered my licinse once and haven_t transfrerd back since I move to Mesa. I disagree with the staff comments. They were very professional and friendly in person (Not over the Phone). It wasn_t until I asked if there was some sort of documentation I could provide my employer that they were abrasive. Time consuming but polite.

So this is very important if you want to donate. When you go to the back to do your physical evaluation and your a new donor, be sure to answer no to all of the questions they ask you and they ask a lot of questions. there are two sets they will ask from the computer and if you answer yes to any, thats automatic disqualifiacation, same thing with the medical history questions, its easier to just answer no to everything. Be sure to tell them about every tattoo and piercing you ever had though because if you leave anything out and they find out later you will never be alowed to donate with any biomat ever again. The thing about this place is they like fucking you! You think your getting a good deal as a new donor getting $35 your first time and $45 your second then every time after that is a set scale of $20 for the first donation of that week and $30 for the second but then Biomat turns around and sells your bottle of plasma for $4000 and thats a fact. The medical supervisors are mostly all bitches especially Brigid shes is always in PMS mode...probably has not been laid in years.... Rachel is a total slut with a southern twang when she talks, so you might get some if your a cowboy or black. the coolest is probably brianna she will do her job but thats it.

Long wait because they_re too cheap to hire enough phlembotomists. They don_t give a crap for your time. Half a day or more to do a short donation. They_re also greedy, taking blood Twice for the same change. They lie about the amount, which drops way down after the first donation. Like bankers, it_s a \_screw you\_ attitude.

Although I felt like giving the place one star or less, I know there are worst places out there. As a return donor, if you make an appointment for 9:00 don_t expect to donate for an hour and a half. The place is dirty with poor lighting, your better off going to ZLB. And this advice comes from someone who knows the difference.

The place is a dump, the staff is friendly but the clientele is another story, talk about the cream de la crap. I waited for 5 hours and left with both arms bandaged and looking like an addict. The price is 40$ for the first visit even though I was told more, but when you need the money you'll take what you can get.
