Ranked high because this is one of the few specialty donation centers around. If you have blood with rare red cell antibodies (I think these come from having had a transfusion from the wrong blood type donor or if you_ve been pregnant with a child with an incompatible blood type) or if you have a factor deficiency (I don_t know if this is from HAVING hemophilia, or just having blood that is capable of producing hemophilic treatments, but you_d know if you are factor deficient), they will pay you $$$, way more than you can get elsewhere. I haven_t been there, so I can_t speak for the quality of care, but I can_t imagine they_d pay so much to get specialty donors and ever consider treating them badly.
