If I could give less than one star I would. I first went to CSL around 1p.m. with my drivers license, a copy of my social security card and a copy of my lease. They proceeded to tell me that they are not allowed to take copies of SS cards, fine. Then told me that my lease was good enough to have and I just needed to come back with a W-2 form. I came back at least 15 minutes later with my W-2 form and a different person helped me. He then proceeds to tell me that because my lease was a personal copy and not one that was signed by my lessor it is not valid. I leave AGAIN, call my landlord and have her email me a copy of the signed lease with both of our names, then print it out. I take it back to CSL 10 minutes later and deal with yet another person and they tell me that their manager thinks it_s _sketchy_ because I just had a form that wasn_t filled out and now it_s filled out and I was only gone for 10 minutes. They were basically telling me they think I falsified my documents. I told the woman that I had called my landlord and asked her to send me a copy ASAP and I then printed it out. It is 2015 and technology is so superior and paper is endless that it actually did only take a matter of minutes for me to get a copy of my lease. But it wasn_t good enough so they made me go back home and print my address from my KSIS, which doesn_t make sense because the student personally adds their address onto their KSIS, but okay. I then go back for the FOURTH TIME and finally get started. I have to watch a 15 minute video and then they make me wait 10 minutes before anyone helps me. They take me to a private room and start going through the process then says it_s time for someone to check my veins. I had two separate people check my veins and then tell me that, _my veins aren_t big enough to hold the needle. And the veins that people are born with are the veins they have and there is nothing I can do about it._ I literally wasted almost 3 hours of my day driving around town trying to get the correct information to donate plasma just for them to defer me right before the end of my process.

Staff were very professional, but it is still a fun place to be in a way where you can tell people really liked their jobs.. They were clear with telling me everything I needed to bring with me on my first visit, which takes longer on your first time. They are always running promotions for doing surveys about your visit and coming twice a week. Holding drawings for us and food drives for the community. They actually make you feel like they WANT you to be there.

I_ve been to the plasma center almost every week for the last 6 months and have had waits that were long biut as the staff member said you have to expect peakhours to have longer wait times. If you plan for the wait and bring material to occupy your time like most people do, it_s tolerable. Most of the staff are congenial and I can understand at the end of a busy day that your smile gets a little worn out. I think if we_re going to donate plasma your either in a place were you have the extra time on your hands or your being benevolent because you feel it_s a good cause. Either way you should be understanding and sometimes a smile on your behalf can make a long day for the staff more tolerable. I_ve been on both ends. All in all I_ve had many more good experiances than bad.

As a staff member there, to the previous comment. We have to be that way because alot of people do try to come in and lie to the staff on a regular basis. We have to err on the side of caution because some people do try to just get money and do not care what they do to themselves. Yes the wait is long at times but people can_t come in at 4 or 5 when everyone gets off work and the college kids are done with classes for the day and expect to get in and out very fast. We are constantly making changes to make things faster for donors.

Didn_t deal with all the staff, but the couple that we dealt with were acting like it was national security. They were accusing us of being liars by saying we donated somoewhere else yesterday. I believe we would know when we donated and we have never donated. We are not the kind of people that would donate too often and hurt ourselves. We have too many responsibilities to do that.

The staff was very rude and untrained and the wait was brutally long. If the obese staff memebers werent so concerned with trying to hookup and what happened on tv the night before maybe every donor there wouldnt go home with tracks.

Very efficient and personable. Clean, hospital-like. I had no worries about contamination. Definitely understood that donors were there to get paid, and did not make you feel like you were scum for that. They were great!
