| I_ve been donating there for 20+ years. They are always pleasant, helpful, and professional. The phlebotomists are happy to chat and friendly. I observe their work carefully, as my hobby is virology and infectious disease. The work I see in the donor room is consistent and professional. Nice people and a nice place. |

| This is the WORST place I have ever worked. Everyone talks behind each others backs. The team leaders think they can treat the phlebotomists like s..t. The hours suck and the pay isnt Enough to deal with all the garbage they put you through. Its like management wants you to be there little soldiers. The only reason Bonnie Woodard post how great this place is, is because she is the ringleader of all the nonsence that goes on at this place. The training was horrible. If your looking for a great career in blood banking I would go to Life Sorce. They care about there employees and the pay is better. |

| Heartland Blood Center is the worst place you can work. They favor one race only. If you are not that race you will not be able to move up and you will be harrised.Do not donate their the staff does not follow procedure. they cut corners that could harm the patient. |

| I was a donor and a previous employee of Heartland Blood Center. I am 52 years old and was trained by 21 -24 year olds. I was not allowed to ask questions during my training and if I did I was written up by management for being insubordinate. In order to deliver a quality product to the hospitals it is impairative that traing be performed by qualified individuals. I personally enjoyed working at HBC due to the wonderful donors that came into the center. I will be donating with Life Source now because they appreciate and respect knowledge and older employees. |

| I have the great pleasure to work at Heartland. Of course work is work, but I have never hestited going to work, because the workplace is so superior to any other place I have been employed. Upper management really listens to everyone, AND knows everyone by name! Above all the treament and care we give our donors is beyond compare. We would never compromise a donor...or a recipient... of our precious product. We love our generous blood donors, and appreciate our talented and caring staff. As we say, giving blood is giving the gift of life! |
