Im confused with all the negative comments on here, if u dont like the workers, the money, STOP GOING!!!you are complaining but u still need the money...so just sit down , keep your mouth shut and donate.., we all know why your there and its not to save anyones life..you get to sit on your but, and get paid twice a week for doing NOTHING...

As an employee of octapharma. .I have seen a few things with donors being RUDE, LOUD, and NOT CLEANand very DISRESPECTFUL, you are here to HELP save lives , not boss/harass the employees around...this IS our job, show some respect!!!getting paid for 45min of your time is a bonus. .

This was taken from MLive today, Now Accepting New Plasma Donors Earn up to $100 this week While saving lives. Please bring proof of address, photo I.D., And Social Security card or Immigration card. Talecris Plasma Resources, 4027 N. Jennings Road Flint, Michigan 810-787-3982. I_ve been to other plasma donation centers, and they are all about the same. However I heard that the Ypsilanti location on Mich Ave, has been shut down numerous times for health code violations, which is scary people!

This place is great. I sat on my ass for 40 minutes or so, and got enough money to buy a big fat rock, and smoked it. IBR=I Buy Rocks!

Those who are thinking you are saving lives by donating--this plasma will NEVER be transfused into a patient. It is against the law to use paid donors to transfuse patients. This plasma is being made into other things. You want to save lives? Donate to a REAL non-profit blood bank that doesn_t pay money for donations! Most of the time they give you a pretty cool t-shirt as a gift for donating! :) Plus, you will have the knowledge that you helped save up to three people_s lives.

This center is verry Gheto. As a previos employe of this center for over 2 years I half to say most of the supervisors and corprate managemet team have no regard for employee or donor safety. They failed to provide necesary equiptment to employees, wich is a safety hazard, they also orderd employes includeing me do do things that violated fedral regulations and compromise product Quality and safety, and they did this for cost reasons. so that tells me that money, cost eficiency and profit were more important than product quality and donor and employee safety. I would not ever donate at this center, or any other Octapharma center, they should be shut down.

IBR Plasma center was bought out by Octapharma a little while back. I read these reviews before my first time, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff are all very nice and frequently check on the donors during the collection process. You need a photo i.d. and your SS card to get your name on the list. The first time I went, It took about 4 hours total, which includes wait time, physical, and drawing. After the first time, a typical visit takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours, depending on how quickly your body donates and the amount of people waiting. Reimbursement is dependent on your weight, as heavier people give more plasma. For my donor group, first time pays about 35, and after that 26 for your first visit of the week and 33 for the second visit. I_d say it_s worth the time for 60 dollars week, especially if you_re in a crunch for money.

They raised the pay to 25 1st visit and 35 your second. so its iaight if you8 dont mind being aroung loud lower class blacks and white trash for 3 hours, the staff are cool except a few loud mouthed bossy black girls/ Love, Mr. Big

Obviously...the staff has nothing to do with how much the donors get paid...or the profit that comes from the plasma. Perhaps...even the staff has felt the effects of the monetary difference between the two companies. Just something to think about! Donate plasma to save lives, make a few dollars and most of all do something that makes a difference!

As others have noted - huge wait time. Employees who are marginal at best. And cheapskates - now down to $21 for second visit of the week. Pay us $21 for the plasma and sell it for $1000. Must be nice...

Ghetto, ghetto, ghetto with workers who can do their job marginally at best. Additionally, they are grade A cheapskates. Unless you are a heavyweight you make $20 for your second visit of the week. Come on - you sell the plasma for $1000 and give us $20. That_s spreading the holiday cheer.

As a former Employee of IBR, and a Current employee of Octapharma Plasma Ypsilanti, I must say if you are just donating plasma for the money you will Receive you are donating for the wrong reasons. You should be thinking about all the lives you are saving. You should feel good about that. but when People complain about the payments or say its not worth the money you make, it puts a price on A Human life.

I have yet to run into a problem here. The first wait is long, but its worth it. you learn when the good times to go are, so you can be in and out in 1.5-2 hours. If you are a college student looking fo a good amount of spending money, then i suggest you try it.

I look forward to returning and saving more lives, they even took the time to tell me all the plasma can do for people... made me feel better about donating.

Why and how do other banks pay more than others. Why should one location be able to pay more than another. The plasma is worth the same all over the USA isnt it?
