Although most of the staff is wonderful, I had a very bad experience with one member. Mind you, I gave blood every chance possible in Iowa for a few years; therefore, I_m far from stupid when it comes to when and what I can donate. To make a very long story short, I was lied to about what I_d previously donated and why I couldn_t donate double red cells. She was excessively rude, and I will not be dealing with her EVER again. I plan to donate again because one person shouldn_t be allowed to ruin the benefits of others. Wish me luck!!!

Despite the fact that the staff is cordial and accommodating, I have to give this blood center a low rating. I am veteran platelet donor new to the area - this is the first blood center I_ve ever seen that offers soda in the canteen. That_s bad in of itself, but worse is to not give donors the option of other beverages besides water. Soda has no place in a healthy diet. If the center is truly concerned about the health of its donors, it will eliminate the soda fountain.
