I have not donated yet but i have an appointment set. i hope they are better now and pay more, a broke college student needs to pay bills just like anyone else, plus im in between jobs so i really need the money. and yes im in it for the money and dont care if you call me a bad person for it.

They were friendly on my first visit but they forgot to give me crackers which drastically shot down my blood glucose levels.. I started shaking and become dizzy while laying down. They had to stop the machine for a while and even though I was 95% done, they said that if I did not finish they could only give me half the payment ($10). The actual staff was very nice/friendly though. I will return again

I went to pick up my wife when she called me after donating. I waited a half hour and went in and ask if she was there. The jerk behind the desk refused to help me. I found her passed out in the hot parking lot because they took too much had kicked her out before she was recuperated. They are un-professional and don_t care about you or your health.

They are NOT paying you for plasma. You are donating your plasma. They are compensating you for your time (not your blood).

Although the workers are nice, the management is EXTREMELY poor and disorganized. That is what makes it take so long and annoying.

What my comment is now, that is about the same as last time, but if that is wrong about rbx loss, twice in two week period let me know, because I would like to come in earlier than my eight week period! Right now,I have probably at least six more weeks to go before I return!

I love the fact that people there remember me and are so nice. Don_t blame the staff if your arm is a hard stick. They try their best. They don_t get off on hurting doners. They_re nice and helpful. I do agree with the need of more staff.

I usually am polite,I miss donating there, yes I think that everybody there is friendly.I hope the next month goes by fast, because I miss lineing up before or right after eight AM.Been trying to find work, every once and awhile I make progress with something, now with USPS.Did a application on-line with them yesterday, acknowledgement back right away from them, there is a temporary carrier that they are looking for currently. If you can get on with them, you might stand a chance.Plus landscaping still, but machine problems recently.I hope to make it back on October29,2009.I still come down there anyhow for something or to get on the internet.Take care, and have a good day.Steve Sherman

People are leaving horrible comments about this place. I have not been there recently, but I used to go quite a bit, and it is not as bad as people say. Maybe if you have low pain tolerance it might suck, but everyone I know thinks it is worth it. The first times does seem to take FORVER, but after that it is a lot faster. Go at the right time and you can be out in an hour and a half. $55 for 3 hours is over $18 an hour. Don_t go in at rush hour. :P I give this place a thumbs up.

Two comments.. This center should consider the $35 per donation. The Center gets payed over $700 per bottle. Most \_donors\_ only come in to sell plasma to make up for poor wages in the area on top of the slow economy, myself included. The wait time has concequentall gone up and the center needs to try its best to staff accordingly, a little inconvenience for the center by over staffing will go a long way in the eyes of potential \_donors\_. Having entire donation bays unused because of short staff really makes the proccess longer then necessary.

Seriously people you are all freakin crazy ya know alot of people just donate to help a person servive through this life and all you guys care about is money if you are all gonna be winey babies dont do it grow up its a free country no one is making you do it and maybe if you look in to or try your self drawing blood from a pt you would know why u get bruised or why they have to move the needle around in your arm some times to get it in the vein seriously buck up people you sound like a bunch of idiots

Yes I do believe that they should pay more, especially since between Ogden and SLC they pay $35 each time! YEP $35! It may be a donation but not worth the time spent there for $20 bucks then $35 for 2-4 hours. Plus the mangle your arm so that you cannot come back for 3 wks because your arm is bruised! Then when you tell them it hurts or that its uncomfortable they have some other person dig the needle farther and harder so that all you feel is pain! So I think that if you like pain alot go get your $20-$35! If not its not worth the $5 an hour.

I wouldn_t mind more money for having a large needle shoved into my arm, but it isn_t so bad. they_ve screwed up on my right arm once, and had a major protein problem for a few days after. waiting times could be better. i think the longest i_ve waited is 2 to 2.5 hours. but over all, for what we have to go through, the pay should be more.

julia i think you need to realize that we do not donate plasma. they pay us for it so its selling. every one SELLING plasma is in it for the money. if we were not doing it for money we would DONATE blood. which is done by a non profit org.

Plan on spending a long time donating plasma. Unless you go when USU doesn_t have school you_ll be there for a couple of hours. I went today and it_s Spring Break for USU and I was in and out in less than an hour and half. I don_t go during the school year though, it just takes way too long.

people, people, are you seriously saying this?! Have you forgot the whole reason of the word _donate_ ?! it is not for the money! and it doesn_t matter how long it takes, THIS SAVES LIVES! If you are in this only for the money, then maybe you should go somewhere else!

i was thinking about coming and donating. but after all the comments i have read?? i think that the people that work there need to do something about all of these complaints!!! i hear all the time that there needs to be more people that donate. but why would we donate if the people that work there are not nice and they are lowering the prices?? so i agree with all the other comments. if your going to stick a needle in my arm and if it is going to take 4 hours or more, for 20 bucks?? there is no way people are going to do that!!!

It wasn_t so bad when they paid $30 each visit. But now, not only have they lowered their pay, they are also way understaffed. My last two visits took 3 hrs and 3.5 hrs. Sitting in a chair, hooked to a machine by a large needle and tubing for 3+ hours isn_t worth doing for only $20. I_ve started feeling as though I_ve wasted my day each time I go there now.

This is the second place I_ve donated. They_re much slower. They changed their pay from $30 to $20 for the first time in seven day period and $35 the second in the seven. So if youre schedule doesn_t permit you to go twice a week you get screwed by missing the $35 and it starts back at $20. They_re cheep! Unless you are desperate don_t go, it isn_t worth it. They need to raise their pay back to $30 each visit!!!!!

They have no clue what they are doing. I attempted to donate three times and each time spent 4+ hours. At this rate it would be better for me to sell body parts. DON_T DO IT - ITS NOT WORTH IT
