Blood Assurance was build since 1972. They served the people of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama and the mission is to provide a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood components to everyone in need. It is a non-profit, full-service regional blood center, serving 47 health care facilities in 31 countries. The volunteers donate blood all of the country's supply of blood for transfusions but it is important that the volunteers are healthy to donate blood. The Blood Assurance had this program that called Project Lifeline where the area is in the schools. They implemented this program in over 90 high schools and colleges. The wonderful of this program they promotes education regarding the importance of donating blood. The Project Lifeline also enables the students and faculty to donate blood and save lives, while inspiring a sense of goodwill and sharing among those involved. |
