| Hoxworth Blood Center is the only blood center for the greater Cincinnati area. Over 17-county serving area in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Hoxworth collects, tests, processes and distributes blood and blood components to 31 hospitals and medical centers. The purpose of Hoxworth is to enhance the well-being of patients in our service area by assuring a reliable and economical supply of the safest possible blood. Hoxworth is licensed and regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks. It also a a member of America's Blood Centers. In 1938, Dr. Paul I. Hoxworth founded the Hoxworth Blood Center. It has grown internationally and recognized leader in transfusion medicine. |
