How much does the center pay per donation?
The first donation your receive $20, the second donations $30. Then you are considered a regular customer and get $15 for the first donation in a seven day period and $30 for the second.

How often can one donate at the center?
You can donate up to two times in a seven day period.

What tests are performed prior to signing up?
They perform a brief medical history, to determine your eligibility as a donor. Then they check vital signs like temperature, blood pressure and pulse, and perform a finger stick to check the level of the red blood cells and plasma proteins in your blood. All the donor information is recorded so the next time you donate it will be quicker

How long does a donation take?
The first donation takes about 2-3 hours, then after that it only takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Are there any upfront costs for the potential donor to enroll in the program (startup costs)?
NONE

The center we called at East Washington St had been in the same location for 10 years.
