Because they are taking whole blood you can only donate once every 8 weeks.

According to the center, they have tests in order to give blood, but I imagine that they do basic vitals like- temperature, blood pressure and pulse before taking blood. Then after the blood is taken there are tests run on the blood.
Length of time for donation:
Each donation takes about 15 minutes, but this depends upon how well the blood is flowing.
Upfront cost for donor:
none
History of center:
Open for 30 years
Advantages:
The center is located in the neighborhood of most of their donors, so it is convenient.
