How often can one donate at the center?
The body replaces the plasma removed during the donation process quickly; therefore, healthy individuals can donate as often as twice in a seven-day period, with at least 48 hours between donations.
If you are donating whole blood you can only donate once every 2 months.

Payment for donation:
At the first donation you receive $20, and then 7 days after your plasma is tested, you get $20 for the next donation.
Then the third donation you receive $40. Then after that you receive $20 and $25 per two donations per week.
If you are donating whole blood you can receive $20.

What tests are performed prior to signing up?
Donating plasma is a very safe procedure with minimal or no side effects. On the first visit you will receive a physical exam and your medical history will be recorded. On subsequent visits, a staff member will check your vital signs and ask some questions about your health since your last donation. In addition, your hematocrit (the percentage of blood volume occupied by red blood cells) and plasma protein levels will be measured.

How long does a donation take?
First donation takes about 2-3 hours, after that about 1.5 hours.

Are there any upfront costs for the potential donor to enroll in the program (startup costs)?
None

Advantages:
on bus line and they have ample parking.
