Donate: You can donate both whole blood & and blood plasma.
What is the most common blood type?
• Type O- the universal donor, and you can give red blood cells to any other blood type.
• Type AB+- universal recipient and can receive red blood cells from any other blood type.
• Type AB- universal plasma donor and can give plasma to any other blood type.

Open hours: normal operating hours are:

Monday Tuesday Thursday 7-6:30
Wednesday Friday 7-4 :30
Saturday and Sunday 8-2:30

Payment to donor: $20 each time

Tests prior to donations: They do a brief medical screen taking vitals- temperature, pulse and blood pressure. They also do a medical history, and check iron levels and protein levels.

How often can you donate: You can donate plasma twice in 7 days, because they return your blood back to you. You can only donate blood once every 8 weeks.

Time it takes to donate blood: A blood donation takes about 1 hr, while plasma donation takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours.

Up front costs: none

History: They have been open since 1975, and have community drives.
