UPDATE: find ALL American Red Cross locations here
The American Red Cross, modeled after the International Red Cross, was started by Clara Barton back in 1881. The American Red Cross was created to work during peace and war, during times of disaster and national calamity, and Barton’s organization added disaster relief to battlefield assistance.
We are familiar with the Red Cross for its relief efforts. Today the American Red Cross means donating food, clothing, and blood for those in times of war, man made and natural disasters.
There are Red Cross locations all over the country. Phoenix, AZ has two such locations when an individual can donate blood.
