Okay I have donated before, but this place was rough. I mean I don't want to ever pull the race card, I have family that is black. But I was the only white guy there. The lady standing behind the new donor window asked what I was there for...really?? Well after her taking my things, I then had to sit down and wait. While waiting I had 5 different people move to where I was sitting to ask me if I wanted drugs, such as ADD pills, morphine, perks, and of course weed which most of them smelled like. Not to sure on how plasma is all taken care of after they remove it, but almost 7-8 out of every 10 people were all talking about smoking weed with their money, buying drugs from the others there. So if thats the people they want I guess it must be fine.

I have been to various plasma centers _ this one is by far the best. It is clean _ the employees are respectful _ professional for the most part. They are very friendly _ fun once you become a \_regular\_. The supervisors are nice _ actually talk to the donors to see if everything isok. There has been times where the place is out of control but its not all the time _ usually only when its super busy with not enough staff. I make 60-70$ per week going not to mention a good story. Just try it one day _ see for yourself. Beware...the first time sucks...there's alot to go through _ it takes time but then after that its smooth sailing ;-)

They're very slow and rude. Got there at 7am and didn't leave till 5pm. Go somewhere else and they are also very unprofessional.

I am a middle school teacher. My middle name is \_patience.\_ On any given day I will give anyone the benefit of the doubt, but woe unto me, the day I walked into Talecris. I don't believe everyone needs a college degree. You can make a solid and noble living welding, laboring, etc. But when someone performs an interveinous operation, I'd like SOME sort of medical certification. This place has no such restrictions. When I was being questioned about my history, the woman spoke so fast she didn't even wait for an answer before moving on to the next question!! I guess if she doesn't care, neither do I. But the real winner came at the end of my experience. My \_?nurse?\_ came over and began ripping the tape off like it was velcro. Tape moves the tube. Tube moves the needle. Needle's still in my arm...awesome. So now my blood pressure's rising, and yours would be too. But it's alright. They've had a long day so let's just get me out of here. NOPE! Passed out. Decreased blood volume + increased bloodpressure = black out. As I lay on the floor, an employee runs up to me and says, \_Sir, I need you to stand up!\_ What? So I can fall down again? I'm guessing you're the kind of person who would jiggle car accident victims head to make sure their neck isn't broke. But in all seriousness, plasma donation isn't a joke. People need these resources and donors need a competent staff. At no time was I reasured that such expectations could be met.

Rather than the useless ranting, can someone actually answer the question as to compensation for donation?

Let me comment on everyone. The problem with this city is that everyone has to generalize everything in black and white. In New York, you would look like an idiot, yet here, it's accepted behavior. Let's get rid of this outdated attitude, because it reflects on the intelligence level of all involved, no matter the color. And to say that only drug addicts, creeps, pedophiles, etc. come from Milwaukee? I've lived here most of my life, but I've also lived in the suburbs where I encountered MORE drug addicts and creeps than I have in Milwaukee. Get a clue people.

I highly suggest everyone gets \_educated.\_ They do much further testing on your blood before giving it to a patient who needs it. Even though they only test you for a couple things initially, there are many things done in the labs.

Sounds like a lot of racial hatred is going on in these comments. Not a whole lot about the actual donation center. Think everyone kinda missed the boat on that (as I am about to do). As far as the racial stereotypes goes, I think we can all agree its growing quite tiresome. Gross people are gross, and they come in all forms. Whatever your race or creed, please take a shower;) To Mandie: Although I suspect you are just an epic troll, I would like to say a few things. Firstly, you live in Milwaukee, A city filled with diversity; drug users, creeps, pedophiles, etc. To say something like that is just plain ignorant. Secondly your frequent use of \_yall\_ doesn't really help validate your response. To everyone else: Don't get worked up about ignorant pricks on the Internet (as well as real life). They aren't worth your time. Thank you. Now I'm off to donate. Perhaps I shall post an actual response in regards to the quality of this institution.

So I was wondering how much they compensate the donors at this place? Does it increase the second time you go in a week?

First off about your \_white\_ people comment, I am white and i sat there just as long... and as for black people being more clean, you just stated they are all dirty and drug users, seems like you may be the dirty one! lmao. Aids runs more in african americans than white people. congrats for being a dumbass. Anyways, about the center, yes I had to wait a long time but they were nice and if you are patient and respectful they are respectful to you.

Beth you are a dumb bitch! they do not test you for aids. haha they test it for iron and protein. Get educated, seriously. Comments: Okay, your comment made absolutely no sense. They test the blood dumbass.... pretty sure they'd catch the AIDS before giving it to a patient. Get educated, seriously.

this place is a piece of shit. bad service and very rude. they dont respect you and they dont care about you. all they want is black folks who need the money for drugs but when white people want to come there they dont want to give us the money, we are much cleaner anyways. yall need to get some new workers very snotty. when the people who really need the money to pay bills you deny there service. yall is fucked up and grimmy. but it cool because when you get somebody who has aids and herpes and dont know about it somebody is going to sue the shit out of yall.
