I HAVE DONATED BLOOD TO THE ORLAND PARK IL 60462 CENTER 2 TIMES AND THE 3RD TIME THEY SAID MY IRON WAS TO HIGH AND REFUSED TO TAKE MY BLOOD. SO YOU GUYS DONT WANT MY BLOOD....YOU GUYS CALLED ME AGAIN ON THE PHONE TO DONATE BLOOD I TOLD YOU THE ORLAND PARK IL CENTER TOLD ME THEY DONT WANT IT CAUSE MY IRON WAS TOO HIGH..I THEN WAS TRANSFERRED TO TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR WHO TOLD ME HE IS SHOCKED THAT I WAS TURNED AWAY AND THEN SAID HE WOULD TALK TO HIS BOSS AND TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND WILL CALL ME BACK AND TELL ME WHAT OTHER CENTER I CAN GO TO THAT WILL NOT TURN ME AWAY. THAT WAS 4 WEEKS AGO AND I GOT NO CALL BACK FROM YOU GUYS. I REALIZE THAT LIFESOURCE DOES NOT CARE IN SAVING LIVES...AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BEG TO DONATE BLOOD TO SAVE A LIFE. The staff is always friendly and helpful does take time and patience with you. Takes every precaution to make me comfortable usually does not leave from beside me. I am a big chicken and usually go every 8 weeks, but they make it worth it since i do not have alot of money and like to donate this is a perfect solution. So many people benifet from small acts of kindness as this.
