It appears that the center is ALWAYS short staffed and in my experience, when a business is always short staff there is a big problem with management. I have witnessed not thst long ago the manager out on the floor and wasn't very nice to the staff. I felt so bad for staff as I seen their faces just change to sadness and anger. I am kind of tired of witnessing that kind of verbal abuse and probably will end up saying something and not coming back. I think the staff there are great and personable usually unless the strss level there runs high.

Twice my husband and I went in to donate and twice we were turned away. The first time we were told we needed our actual Social Security Card and the second we were told they could only accept donations from people within an 80 mile radius of Sioux Falls. No reason given for those rules. Apparently they don't need plasma all that bad.

I went in to be a first time donor today. It was wait, wait, wait and more waiting. I don't mind some waiting but I had to wait 4 hours before even STARTING my phycial. Than after waiting nearly forever I was told I needed a doctors note to get past what is considered a non significant medical issue. I spend over 5 hours in the center and accomplished next to nothing and didn't get paid a dime for my time. I thought I was supposed to get paid for my time but definately did not.

The manager (short, native lady) is a complete BITCH. She is very rude and unprofessional. She can't even keep employees around long enough. Noone wants to work for her. She is the reason that I will NOT be returning.

The staff are very nice, funny, and know what they are doing. The process for first time donors is around 2 to 4 hours depending on time of day. I go almost every week from marshall, mn to sioux falls to donate. I started doing it for gas money but now I do it to help out. I recommend this center to anyone wanting to donate. Clean facility, no ceedy people, and good tv programs to watch while you wait.
