This place doesn't pay cash. They give you a prepaid debit card that charges ridiculous fees. Also the money isn't always available right away as they say it is.

If you are taking the time to read this, allow me to take a few moments to tell you about my experience w/ Biomat Plasma Center on 15th Ave. First, the Customer Service and professionalism for a great majority of the staff is exceptionally poor and would not meet most donors expectations of what their experience should be. Their waiting room is decent size and the seating accomodations are adequate, but you often cannot hear when the staff calls your name to be screened before you donate. I cannot tell you how many people I have seen who complained to the staff about not hearing their name being called. On the other hane, one staff member will scream the screeners name; to apoint of absurdity and obnoxiousness. When you are able to donate, the staff manipulates the machine times, meaning that it can take you shorter or longer periods of time to donate. This is often determined, so it seems, by the time you come in to donate. If you come in shortly before closing, I have personally seen my donation time cut by 20-25 minutes, which is a significant amount of time. Other times, I have seen my donation take longer than usual based upon which staff member is the one that puts the plasma needele in my arm. In addition, the staff's attention to detail is sorely lacking. You often have to tell them to check the machine, if the machine is making noises, if the donation is taking longer than usual, or if you are experiencing pain or discomfort. To continue, I want to mention that if you come close to closing time, the staff often manipulates the blood presure and temperature gauges telling people that they have to wait 15 minutes before re-screening. An example I can share with you is that I have donated plasma in 3 different states over 15+ years. In total, I have donated well over 150 times. I was never told that my pulse was too high at any time I ever donated, until the last two times I visited Biomat. I knew the real reason is because I arrived right before they closed and the staff did not want to stay longer and work OT. The staff talks often about how they are not supposed to work OT, and how difficult it can be for them to explain or justify the OT to their Mgr. or Supv. I have personally heard several staff members talk about this issue. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to go to another donation center to donate. I persoanlly WILL NEVER donate at this center again. The staff is poor; they lie; they manipulate the machines which affects the amount of time you are there. If you catch a bus, you can expect, more often than not, that your donation will take longer than it should and again, the overall experience is far below average. It is by far the worst I have ever seen or experienced. Again, I am confident that your experience will be much more enjoyable and blessed if you go elsewhere. God Bless!

I donate here regularly...the staff is always really friendly, the manager(dustin) is pretty kick ass..i know its a big drop from when rick was running the place and i understand that there are things that can be improved but come on give him a break...he's doin the best he can... for those who wanna donate here... its usually pretty packed on tuesdays and saturdays...early mornings are a bit crazy, but it really varies, first time donors get $30 their first donation, 2nd is $45(???) from then on its $20 the first time of the week and $35 the second time... be prepared to have proof of address, photo id, and social security card....and ALOT of time things that will keep u from donating!!!! certain meds will keep u from donating(propecia, proscar, any blood thinners..etc) if ur veins are too small(they use 17g 1 1/2\_ needles so it has to be big enough to fit that needle _ not collapse) tattoos _ body piercings - if it HAS NOT been a year since u got ur last one...u cant donate till it has... IF YOUR SICK at the time ur going to donate HCT levels not below 38 Temp of 99.5+ ummm i think thats it.... other than that... DONT FORGET TO EAT and drink plenty of water before u donate... (ladies on ur \_rag\_ make sure u use a tampon...u will b asked for a pee sample..and too much blood in the urine will cause u 2 b differed for the day...) ive been a new donor twice now...once at the tacoma campus, the other wen i arrived at everett...both really amazing sites friendly staff, and really great people to talk to.. ill miss the everett staff...but ill b bak!lol till then enjoy ur time...

I would like to add to note, that the staff at the center do a great job. Relationship building, customer service, energetic, etc. Coming from a management background, and ability to lead teams, this is a team I would definately lead and be a part of. So for those who sit on there HUGE butt daily and all you do is talk negative about something you have no knowledge about, get a life. But keep up the work guys. As for some people, the money helps with bills, as for others like myself, it goes to help others/ministries, thank you!

was considering donation but between the map of Amarillo,TX and the unprofessional posting from the manager I will be changing my mind. By posting these types of comments you have done a great disservice to your employees and the company you work for in causing an unprofessional outlook of all involved.

I agree. This Centre used to be well run when Rick Molano was in charge. Now it is very un managed. I missed his departure and am curious as to what happened?

This facility has gone down hill ever since Rick Molano has left. I would haven given you a 5 had Rick still been there. This Dustin person hasn't a clue was going on. Please bring back Rick before you have no donors left.
