Staff is very rude and tend to talk about other patients in front of the other donors. They seem to play favorites and if your not one of them you will he sending for 30 min. after you donate just to get your I.V. out. Most of the time I go in I wait in the lobby for an hour then get get called to the back to wait another hour. All in all I spend 3-4 hours when I go. If they did less standing around gossiping and do their jobs then maybe they could get people in and out faster.

Came here for my first time ever donating plasma. My experience was great! The staff was friendly, from the people at the front desk to the staff in the room when you're donating. I was a little concerned since this was my first time donating, but they explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable. Thanks, Biomat!

This facility actually pays more than the other plasma donation center located on central. It feels good to give plasma to someone in need and also get a little money in return!

I have donated at three different centers now and this plasma center is the best one so far. Great staff, very clean and professional, and they pay in cash rather then a card. The movies are nice too. I recommend Biomat Kalamazoo.

The staff here is usually very nice. They try to play the new movies when they come out which is nice. My first time took a couple hours but after that it was really quick. Take into consideration that you get $100 in a week for like 4 hours of your time. I know I don't get paid $25 an hour at my job.

My first time was a long wait. Got there at 8:45 am, got an apt for 10:30, and finally was done at 1:30. The people were nice and everything went smoth. They gave me a pass for the front of the line for my 2nd visit. I was in and out in less than an hour. I would suggest using them, it is a good thing to donate plasma, and whi couldn't use the money in this economy!

After I had been at a previous center, I was very excited to see that all of the staff there was polite, understanding and courteous. Each time that I have went there I have always been treated with the upmost respect and things have always been explained to me. I am very happy with Biomat and would encourage others to \_PAY IT FORWARD\_ as plasma helps to provide medications and other needs within our city, within our state and within our country.

A strange thing. The first few times I donated, It was fine. I stay physically active and exercise on a regular basis. Next thing I know, this portly man in spectacles pulls me aside before a donation and says to me, in front of the staff and donors already donating, that I had bad body odor. I figured it was my shoes, quite old and regularly used. Kind of rude to wait until I was in the waiting in a public area, not bringing it up at the screening area where my blood was supposedly being tested and found sufficient to donate. It turns out that this Greg fellow was the manager. So from then on I made sure to shower before I came in for fear of being turned away for B.O. Now they say that I have to undergo a physical so I come in early to schedule it and am assured by a female desk attendant that It will be at 4:00 in the after noon. When that time rolled around, I was there, told to take a seat, and after a half hour wait, there was Greg, fiddling with the computer like he was the receptionist. I wait another half hour only for him to tell me, in a patronizing tone punctuated by lip smacking, that I can neither have the physical that was promised nor donate. What the heck?! I wasted a day's worth of gas money to get there just to be turned away by the same guy that said I smelled bad in front of everybody. In a place where they handle blood and the soap machines are empty in the restrooms. Maybe the manager needs rehabilitation.

First visit was 06-30-11. I filled out application indicating that I took metphormin (medication for diabetes) and was told within a reasonable amount of time that I could not donate. I was further told that if I stop taking this medicine I would be allowed to donate. Second visit was 08-04-11 after stopping the medicine metphormin I arrived at 7:35 A.M. and was asked if I had ever donated before at this center and said no. I was then given an appointment for 2:00 P.M.. I walked downtown for awhile and returned at 11:30 and reported that if possible I could be seen early and the receptionist said okay. At 1:35 I was told that I needed a doctors note stating that I no longer needed metphormin for my diabetes. I asked why someone did not know that this morning and was told they were sorry. I asked to speak to the person in charge and a male nurse came to talk to me explaining the rules. I asked why the first female nurse did not tell me about a doctor's note and basically ruined my whole day not to mention what happens when you drink 2 gallons of water for your first visit. He then went to get the facility manager Victoria who just made things worse with her arrogant attitude making me sure that she felt that I was lying about the first nurse never mentioning a doctors note because it was recorded in the computer. The bottom line is all of this could have been avoided by asking Have you ever been here before?

Hours are Weekdays: 8am-5pm Sat: 8am-4pm The process is this: Show up early, fill out some paperwork, and schedule a time to donate. Usually they're booked by 1 o_clock, so get there early! Make your appointment, and walk over to the library for a couple hours while you wait.

My experience here was not impressive nor horrible. At first I was skeptical about the whole process and a little nervous. They had to take my heart rate twice and it seemed like forever until I got to donate. I dont get why they call it a donation cause they pay you $65 to $55 a week but that's probably why they have some scummy people coming in there to donate. As far as the staff they seem friendly but some are rude and inappropriate. When it was finally time to donate I was really scared cause I hate needles but one of the people who poke the needle in your arm was the bomb, he was very comforting and did a good job explaining everything to me...he was kinda cute too:P It took me 3 hours the 1st time but my second was only about 75 minutes so overall I think for the time and the money its worth it to try.

I have been to Biomat USA and I have totally enjoyed almost all my visits. When I go, I go for the extra money but I have almost everytime been out of there in 2 hours or less. The friendly staff is another reason I have been going there so long. The staff laughs and jokes with a lot of the donors that come in there. I think most people just take the way they come off wrong, but I do agree there are a few there that dont seem pleasent and are kinda snappy. Almost all the staff are fun and friendly!

Very careless staff and awful conditions. This place has hundreds of people in and out of it daily, and they wont even fill the soap dispensers for months at a time in the bathrooms! They should be reported to the health board for that alone. Probably spreading all kinds of crap out that facility with the uncleanliness.

These People couldn't run a business if their lives depended on it! I've been there twice, drove 1 hour each time. The first time, I had called ahead, only to find out that the woman on the phone failed to tell me about the 5 a day / be here at 5AM for new donors policy. Turned away. Second time, I arrived at 4AM, 2nd new donor in line. Waited 4 hours. Only to be told that their schedule wouldn't allow me to donate until 1PM!!!!! Turned away again. Forget this place, I'm going to GR.
