I, for one, am sure glad this place is here and does what it does. I've been donating here for around three and a half years. The staff, for the most part are always very kind and helpful, if they can be. It's really nice to be able to help people out by giving the plasma and getting compensated for my time doing it. Personally, the compensation has helped me more than I can say and I'm grateful for the opportunity and ability to donate plasma.... That said, increasing the amount of compensation would not be unappreciated, haha. :)

(additional comment) the rating on my original comment should have been 4 stars: Above Average...oops. Sorry _bout that!

Terrible place, I was denied the right to donate because I have my MMJ red card but was told if I admitted to just being a recreational user of MMJ I would have been allowed to donate. So if you buy and use Marijuana illegally that's ok, but having a license forbids donations. Instead of measuring Hippocratic levels they should rate their hypocrite levels.

As a college student the extra cash really helps out, and when you consider the fact that you are doing nothing at all for a few hours and getting paid, there's nothing really to complain about. Oh, and you get snacks. The only thing that would be a flaw is that if you are a pretentious self-promoting person you shouldn't go here (you shouldn't donate period) because the focus of this center is not on you, it's on whoever the receiving patient is. Some people fail to realize this and give the center employees a hard time. If you go here, prepare to be treated well, unless you insist on it being about you. Which it should not be, and thank god, is not.

I cant believe I ever went here as rude as they are and stuck up. They literally treat you like there all better than you. As far as the wait what a waste of time. You think that people would realize as little as this place pays after the first visit your making minimum wage or less everytime you spend the couple of hours there.

Kind of funny how many people rate this low. These are probably the people I laugh at when I am at the donation center and I see them bitching about how long it takes. Yes it does take a couple hours to get done, but you get money afterwards and you have to understand how hard everyone is working to get everyone through the center. I've been donating there now for a couple years and some days are good some days are bad, but I just take them in stride. All the workers there are always friendly with me and I do enjoy how cold it is inside. Beats being outside in the 100+ weather!

I am extremely surprised to hear so many negative things about this center. The employees are wonderful and knew me by name after only a few donations. The people donating seem to be forgetting that the staff has the responsibility to keep the plasma safe. Yes it does take awhile but I counted over twenty five donors on donation beds at the same time as myself. I was impressed with how efficient they were. One very sweet woman greeted me, screened me and then stuck me all within the same hour. Seeing hard working people like that makes me surprised to hear so many complaints about silly things such as being turned away for undisclosed things. I had a wonderfulnexperience and the young lady really made me feel like she valued my time. I will refer people to this center.

I have donated at this facility, the wait is terrible and you freeze when donating, other than that if you have a full day and a jacket it's worth it.

Be sure to take something to cover up with, while donating it feels like 40 degrees

I've on and off donated at this center for close to a year now and wish I didn't have to result to being there. This center is very under staffed and never seems to have a consist flow. The employees are either extremely rude or very nice. I believe if managment wasn't so tight and had enough employees to service their donors things wouldn't be so stressful!

ok.....so I went there and the only thing I can say is thank you for at least knowing that they were uncapable of sticking me. I do have smalls veins and NO its not from other habits. I just have small veins. Other wise they weren't very polite or professional. Then they completely screwed my wife. She also being a new donor, they blew her vein and had to restick her on the other arm. Laughing at her and treating her lousy there after because she actually called them out for being unPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Really I find that just because people are donating mostly due to hard times...doesn't negate the fact that it is still saving lives, SO DO YOUR JOB AND BE KIND ABOUT IT!!! IF NOT.....I CAN BE KIND...CAN I GET A JOB???

As a plasma vendor, I find my customers at Biomat very demanding but they pay all the overhead and clean the bathrooms. Currently I am not considering seeking my target demographic at the sperm bank.

There is an older blond woman there that is exceptionally rude. I understand the caliber of people they are usually dealing with. However, when I walk in with a smile on my face and nothing but polite words and demeanor I expect to be treated with common courtesy and not some low life off the street looking to swindle them out of $50. To top the overall experience off, they have this extremely incompetent brunette female employee. In the time that I was sitting there donating she improperly inserted the needle into 3 different patients. A more experienced employee then had to scramble to try to fix. Only 1 out of these 3 donors were even allowed to donate because by the time the experienced employee got to the others her mistake couldn't be fixed because the blood began to coagulate in the tube making it unusable. They, of course, had to pay these people for their time. Talk about efficiency...

st time to try to donate they make you wait for 2 hours before talking to you. But while i was sitting there there was people either on meth or high donating. So I walk out fearing that there equipment is tanted.

I have been donating for about a year now. Although they have some busy days with waits the staff are friendly and professional and they put out snack and movies while you are waiting. Not a bad place to donate. I see other donors harass the staff and they take it in stride

Although some days the wait is long I found that the staff are caring and go out of their way for you. I appreciated that I was scared and they took their time to explain everything. I also like getting paid to help save a life.

Anytime you deal with so many people from different backgrounds and reasons for donating, you are going to have some attitude and a little friction. Overall I find the staff here pleasant and caring they might not go a heck of alot out of their way to do that little extra to comfort a donor but then I am sure they have been burned many times by rude and unruly people who forget that this is really about helping people not about getting a few bucks to cop a buzz.

I donated here for about 2 months, and was asked to leave because I upset a worker who said harrassment is perceived and I shouldn't joke around about my vitals. And then almost got beat up by scott...
