Go here every week, they are friendly, and try their best not to bruise you. Yeah a few times, I have waited a loooong time, but seems how the waiting room was packed I understood.

I went there as a civic duty - plus to get paid of course. after 3 hours of BS,,they pulled me into a room and said i was not a viable candidate because i served overseas in germany and we purchased our beef products from england, which did not have any mad cow controls in place. 1 - this was in 1983, 2 - Uncle Sam NEVER bought food (especially meat)from the local economy. We ate USDA all the way. What a bunch of retards - but the crack head in line goes right on in - 1st name basis you know.

FILTHY!!!! looks unfriendly and unwarm from the moment you walk in. The people are rude. I had to use the restroom, when I asked the staff if they had a bathroom, I had to leave my car keys to get a key to the bathroom.... then....I'm sitting on the toilet and what do I see???? I rat trap right underneath the sink in the ladies room???????!!!!!!!!!! REALLLLLYYY!!!!!! They thought that an appropriate place for a rat trap??? I was disgusted, left and will never go back!

I've had a great experience with them. I've been deferred a couple of times for blood pressure, but aside from that, no problems. Those who complain about permanent deferrals have to realise that like it or not, this is a business, and if they can't sell your plasma to the pharms, they can't pay you. They're not a charity like the Red Cross. And the person who said they're closed is mistaken. I'm on my way there right now.

well for those of us who were accepted its a shame to hear all the bad reviews. there are days when the people are rude but once you get to know them most are very personable. very good place to donate the original process was very long but after that its usually pretty quick and easy. they do use pretty big needles though to.

Note: No, there are not nurses poking you at all. There are probably some qualified phlebotomists, but they go through staff pretty quickly I've heard. I don't blame them. You couldn't pay me enough to deal with some of the rude people that come in. If you go to the Blood Center where people are coming in just to give something you have some nurses and phlebotomists that have worked 20 plus years and like what they do. If you go to a pay to donate place you are going to have some very unhappy workers and all kinds of obnoxious, impatient people. It's not going to be a pleasant environment. That said, I do think their screening process has some faults in it. I was almost completely done with my physical when I was turned away because my tattoo was less than a year old, but the staff was very pleasant to deal with, so I have no complaint about that.

My advise: Steer clear of this place. I am a exceptionally healthy 6_3\_ man. I had been donating plasma at a center a few miles away from here and decided to change and start donating at Interstate. After going through the registration process and taking a urinalysis and basic physical, I was escorted to see a \_nurse\_. After giving her my life's history ( and after a total of 2.5 hrs. ) I was told that I was not accepted to donate because I had a kidney stone 26 years ago!!!! Keep in mind that according to every other plasma center I have gone to, I was cleared and told that I was in EXCELLENT health. Needless to say, I was really pissed off about it. Sounds to me like this place is more interested in appealling to the idiot corporate lawyers than to potential QUALITY donors. After being rejected, I drove back to my original donor center and donated with no problems or objections. Note: The only reason I wanted to change donor centers was because Interstate compensated the donor $250.00/ month and my center only paid $200.00/ month. It was just simple math and unfortunately at this time in my life the extra $50.00 is huge. They lost out on a great donor, and as a result, they deserve a crappy review. Also the place was filthy!!!

This phone number is listed next to the Interstate Blood and Plasma Inc 2053 22nd Avenue Kenosha, WI 53140 location at Plasma Protein Therapeutic Assn's website. don't know if this means they've moved, or what. I've never been there, so I can't comment on quality

Modern database would be helpful. Instead of looking up my name or being told I needed to pinpoint the last time I had been there I guessed at the last time I'd come in and was turned away and told I was an unreliable donor, maybe I had sex with a man in 1988, if I can't remember having come there before I'd forget something like that. What?! The guy had my file with the paperwork I'd just filled out! My friend was turned away because he has sleep apnea. We'd waited there for an hour, why can't this criteria arise before we even begin? They need to be much better managed, this doesn't seem at all right and I resent the way I was told I didn't qualify. I've donated blood before without incident, this was insensitive, unprofessional and ridiculous.
