I had an appointment to donate blood at 4:45 on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. I arrived on time and was told there would be a half-hour wait because there were walk-ins being serviced. I asked why people with appointments were bumped for walk-in, but received no reply. So I waited. In fact I waited 50 minutes, the last 15 of which I witnessed an employee who was disconnecting a patient stop to answer a cell phone call. So he stopped and talked on the phone, rather than complete his job.Ater ten minutes of this, I realized my time is more important than having to watch someone talk on his cell phone while I am expected to wait a substantial amount of time. This amounts to horrible customer service, especially since I am there on a voluntary basis, trying to benefit the community. I won't attempt to waste my time again. Bruce Schowers
