The Arizona Blood Services Region will use the 60,000-square-foot building as a new administrative headquarters and blood storage and distribution center. The Regions two blood donor centers in Tucson and its operations center in Phoenix will remain at their current locations.

I donate every 2 months when I live in Tucson for the winter. My donation on March 3rd, 2010 was very unpleasant, the reception, the interview were fine and competent. The man taking my blood was, in my opinion, totally imcompetent. After playing musical chairs for one half hour I finially was stuck and the blood did not flow, he called the supervisor to get it to flow. It usually takes 4 minutes from a very good vein, it took 12 minutes and today I have a big bruise. Needless to say I am looking for another option to help. I will not be returning to Red Cross at the Foothills Mall.
