Ranked high because this is one of the few specialty donation centers around. If you have blood with rare red cell antibodies (I think these come from having had a transfusion from the wrong blood type donor or if you've been pregnant with a child with an incompatible blood type) or if you have a factor deficiency (I don't know if this is from HAVING hemophilia, or just having blood that is capable of producing hemophilic treatments, but you'd know if you are factor deficient), they will pay you $$$, way more than you can get elsewhere. I haven't been there, so I can't speak for the quality of care, but I can't imagine they'd pay so much to get specialty donors and ever consider treating them badly.
