I went to donate plasma and had to fill out a form that disclosed tattoos and piercing. I was \_banned for life\_ because I have a piercing below the belt. No research I've done has listed that as a permanent disqualification. It only states that it must have been done 12 months previos. (i've had the piercing for 8 years)

I wanted to donate plasma because there is a huge need for it so I went to this place it is pretty scarey...We waited in the waiting room for over and hour and when I had walked up to the counter to sign in I asked how long of a wait is there and they said 30 minutes so we waited and when an hour had passed I walked up to the counter to ask again how long and they said oh at least another 45 minutes to an hour...I said forget it and walked out..The place was dirty and didn't look like a health care facility at all...When they called me up...they placed one of those rubber band things on my arm and I thought they were drawing blood right there...I had to ask when he was doing or he would have never told me...they do not treat you with any kind of respect at all...donor beware!!
