I have been coming here for years. Unfortunenty they will be moving to a new location in few months. Very bad decision but it is all about the $. Right in the ghetto and closed to bus stop. On the top of that new tenant will not have to pay for police and security protection as current tenant has been providing. Place will have 43 beds comparing to 27 they have now. I have been donating plasma in the ghetto in Virginia Beach and Charlotte Freedom Dr. Will stop donating after they move because I don't want to get raped or robbed while there. So sad.

I've donated at Life Sera for over 4 months now and I am pleased with the service. The staff is highly professional and attentive - making every effort to make donors comfortable. As compared to a few other donation centers in Charlotte, Life Sera has been one of the best!

They have a problem with screening. They avoid doing the necessary routeen checks for some reason, repeat donors, or otherwise, and keep people waiting for a long-time. The guy next to me was in line for over two hours and twenty minutes yesterday only to be told he and the two donors next to him \_must have been in the bathroom or something when their number was called.\_ Once you get beyond screening, you're usually, ok, there are a lot of beds, although you can tell when certain staff/management is present as it's like night and day. Recently, I sat holding cotton on my arm for several minutes waiting to be wrapped up as medical staff called the person who removed the needle from my arm away to help monitor a donor feeling sick to her stomach. Several weeks ago, I had to come back as their was blood dripping from the gauze -- it was not properly wrapped.

ok, SO LIKE the people the people sticking you were young, dressed unprofessional...and didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. They stuck me in both arms and then told me NOT TO COME BACK because I wasn't going to be a good donor...ARE YOU SERIOUS? Not only that, when I explaiend that I never had a problem being stuck, they told me that donating blood isn't the same as donating plasma, ummm I realize that but the freaken vain is in the same damn place....! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STICKING, everone else was VERY friendly, but only about 3 were professional. A little sloppy! The building was nice though! LOL
