I was amazed to learn I had donated 4 gallons when I went last week -- I had failed to meet the hemoglobin standard 4 previous attempts, and had almost decided not to try to give, but Vitamin C taken with red meat did the job, and my hemoglobin was 136.5!!

I just wanted to thank all the people who donate blood. Without which I would not be alive today. This coming Feb. 7th will be 13 years since I had a serious surgery go wrong and I needed lots of blood to make things right.(12 Units) I had an overhaul as the doctor put it. I am alive today because of the wonderful thing you all do for people like myself and others. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I know my 3 year old thanks you as well. With out you he would not be here...
