I don't know about their policies because they won't tell you over the phone. It takes three trips in just to be seen in intake to be told an address is on their (no-way) list. By the way they have a booklet of undesirable locations. Employees are very rude like they got slapped around the night before and are going to take it out on you today. They spend more time trying to disqualify a person than approve them. I guess the guy puking in the potted plant got his okee-dokee before I did because he was on the wait list. Not to mention all the skeletons shaking at the intake monitors unable to log in because they couldn't operate the touch screen. No worry, they got help right away from staff. Long story short I feel that the employees would rather turn away donors so they can chit chat behind the desk instead.

I think a few people need to find a different career. If your unhapy with your manager, then look for another employer if the conflict can't be resolved. Otherwise, stop talking to other coworkers about your personnal and work relationships. Next, if your busy, stop talking. If your slow, minimize the talking. I can understand how boring it may be at times, but people want to get in and get out. If your talking about what your boyfriend did or your home boy did, it can wait until a non busy time.(Don't get me wrong, you need to have fun at work, but you also need to be a little bit more professional in front of people since you are sticking people's vein's a screwing up doing it. ) To the manager, if there are alot of complaints about one person regarding how she can't stick people and she always misses and has a bad attitude, well, it's time to tell them where the door is.

Disappointed in my experience. The 1st time was great and subsequent visits went downhill. Wait is lengthy-it is consistently 45 min-1 hr before you get in. Tough to do it before work. My LAST time, they apparently went through the vein as 2 wks later, I still have a 5 inch bruise. Switched to the other arm and they could return my blood. Machine wouldnt work but no one paid much attention to it even after they discovered it. Now I have to wait 56 days to go back due to their incompetence. I think I'm done donating.

Overall the center was ok, but not great. The machines they use use a finer needle, so it stings less going in, but takes longer for collection. The anti-coagulant they use doesn't leave a weird taste in your mouth and they return saline with the blood so you don't get incredibly thirsty or a cold arm towards the end . They get busy in periodic rushes throughout the day, so you can plan around them, but it usually takes at least two hours, so unless you have a lot of time you might want to look into another donation center.

Gave them a friendly call to ask some general questions and the person who answered was very short with me. They don't seem to need any new donors I guess. She practically hung up on me.

I have been coming to the IBR plasma center for about 2 years now. I have had some great experiences there and not so great. I do agree they do a lot of talking insted of working and they are indeed really slow when they can be more timely if they would cut down the extra chatter. Also some of the workers show attudes on the floor and they take it out on your stick it seems. One time the worker was upset and she stuck me through my vein and my arm bubbled up! they need to pay more attention to their job and they go through a lot of employees as well.

I've been there a few times and the staff talk SO much. It is a bit slow, but so far I haven't had any problems. It is cleaner than BioMat! If you are able to...go to Ames- BioLife! It is much fast and a lot nicer!

After calling there #. The message said new donors can arrive up to 1 Hr. before closing. Drive 30 miles get there 2 Hrs before close. \_Sorry we dont take new donors on Mondays\_ Go in Tues 10am, By 11:15 they were turning new donors down? It wasn't that busy either. There seems to be a 100 people working there yet they are so slow!!! once I got in the donor chair everything went fine and friendly.

I have tried several times to go donate would be first time and have been given wrong information and get there and they are not linked to the other centers via finger marking so you have to go when other centers are also open. Very inconvienant......nd have been rude, they act like it's a privledge that they are there to serve you!!!

I have just talked to them on the phone and they were very nice and answered all my questions. So we will see what happens when I donate.

I need to say this Please do not go here. We were treated very badly and even after mistakes were made no one even said they were sorry.
- gary2009-08-20★★★★★
the staff is top notch they treat us outstandingly

No scheduling. new donor walk-ins can wait many many hours to be screened _ donate. Also, staff seems very stressed on many occassions. Last but not least, their pay is not very competitive,
