Blood plasma is used to create life-saving medicines, and people decide to donate for many reasons. If you need extra cash you can donate your plasma and at the same time you save someone's life.

This plasma center WAS great..... Rules are constantly changing i guess to deal with the heavy volume of people. NO guarantee you will be able to donate. My advice if donating is that important pay very close attention to your iron, fat intake and temperature if 1 of these fails 2 week suspension... The temperature is tricky even hot coffee can JACK your day up going here..

if you are a first timer you will need your ID, proof of social security number they will take : your social security CARD (no copies) , w2 or pay stub. ALSO proof of address, like a piece of mail. only rated it a 3 because i havent used the service yet just been there to figure out what paper work to bring.

staff is awesome, for the amount of work they do, every time i go in to donate the center is always overcrowded and full of diversity it's amazing to see what goes on there. be aware of donors passing out from not being hydrated or not having enough to eat before donating. it well happen if you're not careful. one more thing: use the restroom before they call you to a bed, I've seen grown men pee on them selves.

Never been to a blood bank before. This place was packed with people. No signs to indicate where first time donors should go, beyond the open counter when you walk in. Has a thumb print ID system you get signed up for when you are a new patient that I believe you get to use to \_check-in\_ upon return visits. As of 08/02/12, the donation amounts are tied to weight. $15 for the lowest tier, $20-25 for the next tier and the final tier of 175lbs+ is $30-$35 depending on how many donations you have done. Don't bother going though if you plan to admit to having been a gay or bisexual male since 1977. That's right, if your male and admit to one encounter with your own gender since 1977, you are possibly labed as being high risk and banned. Heaven forbid you have done it in the last couple of months. Also you can't donate plasma if you have 1 year fresh tattoo's or piercings.. just food for thought. The staff was nice, but seemed a little over worked.

Easy to deal with and donate. They do compensate donors for plasma. Up to $35 depending on weight and how much they can get from you.
