Beware, Telecris is not a friendly company in a lot of ways. If there were competition they would be better when it comes to the donaters. I am talking about the Roanoke Telecris Plasma Center on 5th Street S.W. It looks as though they can't keep workers, when trying to get information over the phone, you can't speak with a live person because they do not have hire help to work each aspect of the business. I wish they had competition so they would come down off their high horse. Not even the main office in North Carolina would respond to my email. POOR COMPANY to deal with they do not have your interest at heart only your plasma which equals MONEY for them.

I had an appt at 9 am. It is now 11:47 and I still have yet to even receieve my physical. The workers move slow and seem like they simply do not care. They schedule way too many appts at a time and I will NOT be backZ

I had a 2:30 p.m. appointment. A person with a 3:15 p.m. appointment was seen first. At almost 4:00 p.m. I was getting anxious and asked if I could be seen by a technician for the pretests soon. Once I was in the test area I thanked the technician for getting me in. I was shocked when she said if you want to complain we can cancel this or get a manager, that just how I roll! Managers, please monitor how your employees talk to the donors. Yes, Talecris is supplying a service for us. However, we are the donors and should be treated with respect.

How funny the page says to be polite when commenting because these people are anything but. I am so glad other people have had good experiences as they are far and few between. Some of the nastiest people are allowed to donate (by nasty I mean hygiene wise) while people that are still damp from a shower at the gym across the street are told they smell bad and are refused. Seriously???? If you are too busy just say it, don't lie and make people feel bad or get mad. It's either that or I have offended someone by something I have said or they had friends waiting to donate that were getting impatient. I have had better service and more compassion at my veterinarians office. I would almost rather get stuck by my vet than deal with the incompetence of some of the workers there. There are decent people but they eventually leave because they can't deal with the rest of the people that work there!

I returned to the plasma center after being away for ten to fifteen years. I was pleasntly surprised to find that many things had changed. Considered a new donor after so much time I was required to take a physical. To my surprise instead of being there for what used to be most of the day the whold process went very fast. After this I donated and all togeather my time in the center was short. After donating I found that they now do appointments instead of just walk-ins. All in all it was a good experience and much improved.

i came back in after 2yrs of my surgery and they told me my account was froze. i thought u could come back after a yr? hhm they told me to call and talk to someone and i've been trying to get through to there lines and they never answer. how are people suppose to donate if you dont pick the phone up or stick to your policys?

Very unfriendly staff, sometimes downright rude. The wait is far too long. Sketchy isn't the word for most of the donors. I've seen knives pulled in the waiting room. There's always someone yelling at someone else. The police had to be called on someone almost every time I went here. I'll never go back.

I was considering donating because we are so tight on funds. Luckily I spoke with a friend who told me several people she knew had to have surgery because of the damage to their blood system they had from going to this place. It says \_Telecris\_ on the outside, but its the same place.

wow i was trying to find this place but would be afraid to even step foot in here, I hope you all havent given this much needed Plasma Center a bad review for nothing and if all of this is true then why havent any of you reported them to the state?

This was to be my first visit. I arrived 30 min. before they opened _ waited. I signed in. After one and one half hours, they finally started a chart. After another hour, I went throught the screening process. Another hour and one half past while i was waiting on the physical. I ask how much longer, and they couldn't tell me. I waited another one half hour then LEFT! This was over 4 hours of wasted time! If i would have waited my total time there would have been about 6 hours. i don't know of anyone that has that kind of time. I truely wanted to do my part to donate. Never again! I will go to the Red Cross blood mobile next time. Poorly run business.

The place is clean for being in the area that it is in and the environment is pretty steril while donating but the people who are donating are usually very sketchy. I've been hit on numerous times by numerous people while in the waiting room! Come on! It was annoying and I won't go back.

This is my very first donation, The staff were great, especially the staff that did the needle insertion. They tryed to make me relax becouse just the sight of blood made me nauseous. The wait was long, but due to the large amount of people im supprised the place ran so smoothly. Like a fine olied machine. Thanks to all the staff for making my first experience a good one.

First off I haven't been anywhere else to compare it to, but the place is clean, staffed by reasonably friendly people, and the neighborhood and other donors are not as sketchy as I might have thought. The down side is the waiting. The place stays real busy all day, so they're mostly limited by the number of machines they have (about 35, taking an hour plus per donor). Best bet is to be at the door when it opens and get in the first wave to the donor chairs. But even when you are a repeat donor first in line in the morning, it can still take an hour before you get started on the needle. They should be able to improve on that.

donating is not bad only if they had more people that really knew what they are doing. I have had times of poor sticks and a lot of problems after

Very long wait, would not accept bonus coupons that they put on Craig's List
