Cord Blood Solutions, LLC is a Physician-inspired company, with the purpose of providing expectant parents and families with the highest quality medical resources regarding the harvesting (collecting) and processing (storing) of their baby's umbilical cord blood stem cells. Currently, stem cells from the umbilical cord have already "treated" or "cured" many diseases, including leukemias and sickle cell disease, and the future possibilities appear plentiful. Furthermore, these umbilical cord blood stem cells are not solely useful for the donor baby, rather they have been used successfully for siblings and parents of that child as well. Founded by Dr. Alan Einstein, an Internal Medicine/Critical Care physician in Atlanta, Cord Blood Solutions, with its partnered laboratory, is an experienced organization devoted to collecting and storing umbilical cord blood. Its laboratory is fully AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) accredited and has collected over one-million blood samples and uses state-of-the-art technology under the guidance of an experienced Cryobiologist and team. The Community Blood Services blood bank is located in Paramus, New Jersey. It is an internationally known cord blood banking facility and has been in operation since 1954. They have been processing cord blood since 1996, with over 47 successful transplants as of July 2007. Dr. Alan Einstein's goal is to provide parents with the a medical resource to accurately answer questions regarding the concepts and collection procedures involved with cord blood, as well as to give parents a secure and trusted environment to store these precious cells. Dr. Einstein is also the chief executive officer and president of Cord Blood Solutions, LLC, and practices internal medicine at the Alpharetta Medical Associates, P.C.
